Information Automatically Logged
The GameCounter service provided by and used by VGWS logs your IP address when you visit any page with a counter provided by this service. Your IP address is used as information for the reload blocking feature of the GameCounter service. The last ten IP addresses recorded, along with other generic information (such as Browser and Operating System Version) are displayed in the statistics for counters provided by the GameCounter service. IP addresses are deleted from these logs automatically as more IP addresses are logged. No more than ten IP addresses per counter are on record at any one time.
Cookies
VGWS uses cookies to maintain user information (such as username) during page sessions so that you do not have to enter a username and/or password to access each page or utility in VGWS' Member's Area. VGWS also provides an option to users of the GameCounter service to use a cookie, containing an ID number, to prevent the GameCounter service from recording information when visiting their own site.
Advertisers
Advertising on our site is provided by ZTNET. ZTNET's privacy policy contains information about the advertising shown on VGWS. We do not have access to any information collected through advertising.
In addition, advertising on our site is provided by Microsoft bCentral. Microsoft bCentral provides us with access to some information collected through advertising, such as the number of visitors on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Microsoft bCentral does not provide us with information about individual visitors. Microsoft bCentral's privacy policy is available from their web site.
Registration Forms
Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like an email address), and unique identifiers (like a username).
Contact information from the registration forms is used for confirming the user's registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should the current one be forgotten).
Unique identifiers (such as username) are collected from Web site visitors to verify the user's identity, for use as account numbers in our record system, and to access services provided to the user.
